Waves

Waves is designed to catch the light, not just emit it. The sculptural base allows playfulness between raw surface and soft illumination, creating a grounding presence in the room even when unlit.

Each piece is hand-carved from solid European Walnut using a variation of tools, drawing inspiration from the Japanese Naguri technique. This subtraction process leaves a tactile, faceted surface where no two cuts are identical, with a permanent record of the maker's hand. Finished with hard wax oil to preserve the natural depth of the timber.
